Reading the forecast
A DWD station within 100 km of the city centre supplies station forecasts; elsewhere MET supplies city-centre forecasts. MET has no hourly rain chance. Original ICON hourly and GEFS 3 h probabilities are separate choices with different models, grids and issue times. A 2 h comparison uses the maximum of its two hourly values, not the chance of any rain over 2 h. Missing values are never zero-filled; times outside coverage are excluded.

This helps choose times for walking or hanging laundry. Forecast accuracy, drying and outdoor safety are not guaranteed. For emergencies or hazardous activities, consult official warnings and local conditions. No automatic reminders are sent; reopen your plans to check them.
